Let's talk about the role
You will:
- Build the Heart Foundation's profile and reputation in the ACT with relevant stakeholders.
- In collaboration with our highly skilled and passionate teams, facilitate the development and implementation of integrated advocacy plans and develop policy submissions to deliver on the agreed nationwide objectives to achieve the Heart Foundation's strategy.
- Collaborate with fundraising teams, engage with corporates, high value donors, bequestors and donors to build key networks in the region, by attending key meetings and events and facilitating revenue raising opportunities for the Heart Foundation.
- Engage, liaise with, seek, and act on advice from the Advisory Board, to ensure effective implementation of Heart Foundation's strategy and local initiatives.
Let's talk about you
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field such as medicine, public health, and/or relevant experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly developed leadership and experience in cross collaboration with others.
- Experience working in public health, the clinical sector, and/or advocacy.
- Ability to work effectively with Advisory Boards and Committees, honoraries and volunteers.
- Energy, enthusiasm, commitment, and the ability to earn the respect and trust of colleagues and stakeholders.
- Understanding of cardiovascular health issues, including an appreciation of the social, economic, and political factors, which play a part in producing health inequalities.
