As we continue to expand our footprint across Australia, New Zealand, and the South Pacific, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and experienced State Sales Manager to lead our sales team across Queensland.
Purpose of the Role:
To drive sales growth and achieve targets by developing and implementing strategic sales plans that expand company's customer base and ensure its strong market presence. To manage and motivate the sales team to exceed sales objectives within the state.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
- Partner with customers to understand their business needs and objectives.
- Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations.
- Report on forces that shift strategic directions of accounts and tactical budgets.
- Manage and support our marine dealer network in the state, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary tools and knowledge to effectively sell and service our products.
- Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status.
- Oversee and enhance relationships with the dealer network in Queensland, ensuring alignment with company objectives and maximization of sales opportunities.
Requirements:
- Proven sales executive experience with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
- Previous experience as a sales manager or in a senior sales role.
- Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level.
- Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
- Strong business sense and industry expertise.
- Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills.
- Marine industry experience with a deep understanding of the market and customer needs.
- Technical/mechanical background essential, enabling effective communication of complex product benefits and features.
