About the Role:
As the State Sales Manager reporting to the National Business Manager, you will be responsible for meeting our sales budgets and delivering profitable sales growth and winning new business with both the Balfours and Mrs Macs brands. You will collaborate with a diverse range of customers to successfully implement channel and category solutions and deliver sustainable growth, while also focusing on new business opportunities. Key channels include Distributors, Petrol / Convenience & Retail Partners as well as key End User groups. This role will have line management responsibility of 1 x Key Account Manager (Independents) and 3 x Territory Managers.
About You:
We are looking for an experienced, passionate and dedicated individual with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. In order to succeed in this role, you will bring the following:
- Prior experience as a State/Key Account Manager or Business Development Manager within the FMCG industry.
- Strong knowledge of the food manufacturing industry and market trends.
- A history of working across a broad and diverse range of customers, with a strong track record of success working with the South Australian customer base.
- A proven track record of securing new business across a breadth of channels.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key accounts and customers to drive sales growth, customer satisfaction and retention.
- Ability to demonstrate strong collaboration and communication skills with other departments and stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.
- High level of commercial and financial acumen and ability to recognise potential business opportunities – with a demonstrated proficiency in a variety of CRM and sales specific systems.
- Strong Leadership skills and the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and negotiate effectively with clients.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Powerpoint, Word and Excel.
- Tertiary Degree or Qualification in a relevant field (Desired).
- Current Drivers Licence.
