The Station:

SpringvaleStation is located 70km north of Halls Creek and 300km south of Kununurra.  Springvale is a pastoral lease that operates as a breeder block in the east Kimberley region of Western Australia. This newly acquired breeder block forms part of Harvest Road Pastorals integrated supply chain, supplying good quality young cattle to our stations in the Pilbara and Gascoyne areas of WA.

The Opportunity:

Harvest Road has an exciting permanent, full-time opportunity for a versatile StationCook to join our tight-knit team and ensure our hard-working team at SpringvaleStation are fed healthy and hearty meals. This is not a FIFO role.

You will provide a key role and will take pride in your work, enjoy working with a small team and running a tight and hygienic operation. A can-do attitude and the ability to jump in and do whatever is required to get the job done is essential, you will be at times asked to help around the homestead. You do not need experience, just need to have a love of country living, cooking, and baking.

Key responsibilities include:

• Taking ownership of the station kitchen, planning and cooking meals
• Observing stock, reporting any issues to management
• Maintaining hygiene across the site and ensure highest level of cleanliness is maintained
• Garden maintenance/ domestic help as required.

Our ideal candidate will have:

• Excellent time management and organisation skills. Including meal plans and food ordering monthly.
• High level of hygiene and safety standards.
• Great communication skills.
• Excellent team player.
• Ability to work independently and able to adapt to change easily.
• Proactive, positive, energetic attitude, ability to make the kitchen the 'heart' of the station.
• Ability to pass a National Police Clearance and pre-employment medical assessment.
• Suitable fitness level to carry out required tasks.
• Current driver's licence.

• Kitchen prep area is fully air-conditioned
• No dogs are allowed
• 4x4 vehicle recommended. Roads not suitable for small cars.
