Randstad Recruitment is currently looking for a Statutory Planning Coordinator to join a Council in Northern Victoria on an initial 4 month assignment. This assignment has potential for extension and is paying a rate of $70-$80 p/hour + super. It also includes flexible working arrangements with 2 daysWFH and 3 days in the office.
The Statutory Planning Coordinator will be responsible for:
- Actively engaging as a leader within Council, modelling all our organisational values.
- Working across Council to innovate, adapt and evolve our systems and processes to place the customer at the heart of our service delivery
- Coordinating the teams Statutory Planning process from end to end
- Supporting the culture and functioning of a high-performance Statutory Planning team that meets statutory requirements and organisational KPIs
- Fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Playing a lead role in educating all users of the planning system and stakeholders about the importance of the planning, including heritage conservation, natural environment, urban design and sustainability, while elevating the profile of the Shire
- Assessing detailed and complex planning applications having regard to the Councils Planning Scheme and policies, and apply creative solutions in complex applications
- Oversee and as needed, provide, effective and analytical representation at public forums, including VCAT hearings, Planning Consultation meetings and Planning Delegated Committee meetings and Council meetings
- Degree or diploma in Town Planning with several years’ experience OR less formal qualifications with extensive experience.
- A current Victorian driver’s licence.
