Purpose
As UTS continues to grow and solidify its global impact, we are seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to join us as the Program Director, Operational Sustainability for a two year fixed term assignment. This pivotal role will drive the planning, design, construction, and implementation of initiatives that will shape the future operational model of UTS. The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders, overseeing a small team, and leveraging resources across UTS to ensure the alignment of key streams of work within the Operational Sustainability Program.
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing and coordinating the governance of the Operational Sustainability Program.
- Aligning plans with the overall strategic direction of the University.
- Coordinating detailed implementation planning, considering the impact on people, systems, processes, behaviours, data, and governance functions.
- Conducting a thorough analysis of the current operations model for improvement.
- Engaging with stakeholders for input and alignment with organisational goals.
- Communicating effectively to build shared leadership and understanding.
- Providing briefing support for Council and relevant committees.
- Developing and aligning organisational design principles for evolution initiatives.
- Identifying and mitigating risks, including developing contingency plans.
- Providing required reports to the Steering Committee and University Leadership Team.
- Acting autonomously within university strategies and Operational Sustainability Steering Committee's guidelines.

Remuneration/Salary
A competitive and comprehensive remuneration package will be offered.
This role attracts 17% superannuation in addition to the base salary.
