We are on the search for an energetic & experienced Retail Stock Controller to fill an opening in our Cairns business to manage warehousing activities. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management and effective performance of the warehousing activities and store replenishment for our retail sites across the terminals. Working as part of a broader management team, you will ensure that overall performance targets are achieved. You will apply leadership and planning capabilities to ensure continuous improvement in all key result areas, drive a positive and engaged team culture and foster the development of your team whilst building enduring value-added partnerships with key stakeholders. To achieve the expected deliverables in this fast-paced environment you will need to have:
Demonstrated stock/inventory control experience
Solid computer literacy with experience using inventory management systems and Excel
Strong people management & leadership skills
Clear and confident communication style
Customer service focused approach to everything you do
Solid approach to work health & safety
Previous retail experience would be highly advantageous
Physical fitness – our business operates in books, news, convenience and specialty retailing – manual handling will be part of the role

As we operate in a dynamic airport environment where our stores are constantly trading, the ability to work a rotating roster incorporating early mornings, late nights and weekends is essential.
