Job Description:
Position Overview: We are seeking a meticulous and organized Stock Controller/ Material Handler to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the quality control in ductwork manufacturing, managing the logistics of delivery cages, and ensuring efficient stock management and delivery coordination. This role also requires operating a forklift for Material Handling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Control: Oversee quality control in ductwork manufacturing to ensure all products meet the company's standards.
- Loading and Identification: Load delivery cages and accurately identify their contents, ensuring proper labelling and documentation.
- Onsite and Stores Management: Manage the organisation and storage of delivery cages, and stores for onsite work, including monitoring and maintaining stock levels.
- Delivery Assurance: Ensure timely and efficient distribution of materials to the required locations.
- Forklift Operation: Operate a forklift for loading and unloading materials safely and efficiently.
- Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate records of stock levels and deliveries, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and precise.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth logistics operations and effective communication within the team.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in logistics, quality control, or a similar role.
- Valid forklift license, or the ability to get one.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Proficiency in maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Physical ability to handle and move heavy materials as required.
- Familiarity with ductwork manufacturing processes is a plus, however not a requirement.
- Ability to understand processes is an advantage
