AddressOn behalf of our client, we are advertising. Italian Marble & Granite Pty Ltd are looking for an experienced Stonemason to join their team in Smithfield, NSW.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Shaping, trimming, polishing, smoothing and cutting of natural stones (i.e. marble, granite, reconstituted stone) and its surface;
- Using hand tools and power tools as required Measure and ascertain dimensions and materials required;
- Apply glue, mortar or sealing agents where required to ensure granite or marble is secure;
- Follow and understand plans and specifications for individual projects;
- Ensure granite or marble is levelled and properly aligned using measurements in line with plans.
- Resizing marble or granite to specifications.
Skills and experience required:
- Certificate III or equivalent Trade Certificate
- At least 3 years of relevant experience as a Stonemason
- Experience in polishing, CNC operations, and manufacturing of marble, granite and reconstituted stone
- Excellent communication skills
- A high level of attention to detail
- Coordination and practical skills for using trade related tools
This is a full-time position & salary is $70,000 per annum + superannuation
