Leonardo's Helicopter Division (LHD) performs research, design, development, production, customer support and marketing of Leonard's extensive range of products; modern helicopters and tiltrotors for civil, parapublic and defence applications. The Division manages the entire helicopter development and production cycle. Production and assembly plants are concentrated in Italy, UK, Poland and the US. The AW139, AW169 and AW189 models are part of a family of new generation helicopters, all featuring the same design philosophy and the same certification and safety standards.
The Australian subsidiary is a full service operation undertaking business development, logistics management, aircraft assembly and maintenance and other related support functions. Engineering activities are concerned with aircraft assembly and disassembly for transport by air and sea, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, aircraft modifications and deployed support to customer maintenance activities. Typical customers are emergency services, offshore operators, government and private customers.
About the roleThe Store Person will be joining our Maintenance, Report and Overhaul (MRO) Facility located at Fisherman's Bend and will be responsible for the management of the MRO warehouse in accordance with aviation Part 145 regulations. Additionally, shall support materials planning tasks and support Workshop equipment, tools, materials and Dangerous Goods (DGs) management to ensure compliance with aviation and Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) regulations.
Key Responsibilities Include:- Management of the MRO Warehouse, including parts picking for component maintenance, organising
storage locations ensuing segregation of goods in accordance with Part-145 regulations, controlling the
storage conditions in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations and regulatory requirements. - Take deliveries and perform incoming goods receipt of aviation-specific components, parts and materials
(including DGs) in accordance with Part-145 regulations, and general tools and equipment. - Manage the disposal of goods in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations, Leonardo Australia
procedures, and WHS, Environmental and Part-145 regulations. - Perform dispatch of components having undergone maintenance, and tooling sent for servicing.
- Support the Workshop Manager in maintaining the MRO facility, equipment, tools, and working
environment to a standard appropriate to perform maintenance. - Support the equipment and tools servicing and calibration programmes.
- Support the Material Planner in the management and control of inventory and stock levels of materials,
and ensure all materials requiring a Safety Data Sheet (SDS) are up-to-date. - A good understanding of aviation standards and Leonardo Australia procedures.
- Undertake theoretical, practical and On-The-Job training as required.
- Documentation archiving.
What Skills, Qualifications and Experience do you need to be successful in this role?
- At least 2 years of relevant warehousing experience in an aviation maintenance environment.
- Excellent understanding in warehousing, goods receipt and dispatch, and interpreting logistics
documentation. - Excellent skills with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, such as SAP and Aerotrack.
- Pro-active and a team player.
- Safety conscious in familiar with hazards in high risk environments.
- Fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal skills
- Flexibility to travel, train & communicate with our global counterparts in Europe
