As part of our ongoing strategy to grow our luxury store footprint globally, we are hiring for a new key leadership position in our Property Project team. In the newly created position of Store Planning Director, you will be responsible for leading our Retail Property Project team to deliver all retail and related brand projects across all markets, including flagship stores, shop in shops, store refurbishments and seasonal retail projects on time and within budget.
Based in our headquarters in Rosebery (Sydney), and reporting directly to the COO and CEO, this role involves strategically identifying local architects and general contractors in all current and new regions globally, and then ongoing management of the retail pipeline and the master program, coordinating creative collaborators, regional heads, and construction delivery partners.
In this newly created role, you will be responsible for:
· Managing and building the master project program and briefing documents with all stakeholders.
· Liaising with regional leads to strategically plan, budget, prioritise and assess new locations renovations for CEO approval.
· Maintaining and establishing a network of suppliers globally to design and deliver stores to the high creative and quality standards and maintaining and building a loyal network of suppliers based on mutual respect and collaboration.
· Negotiating and coordinating design, build and technical requirements according to the type and location of projects.
· Coordinating and managing the creation of design guidelines as a “play book” for various creative partners to work with particularly on regional stores, shop in shops and wholesale partner projects.
· Leading and managing in house project management team, to ensure excellent relationships with internal and external key stakeholders, in order to achieve smooth and high-quality store handover to retail with minimum defects and according to their requirements.
· Reporting on current and upcoming projects identifying risk to timelines, compliance issues, budgeting and supplier performance.
· Providing technical expertise and property management support as required to regional retail maintenance teams.
What you will bring to the role:

In addition, you will be able to demonstrate the following:
· Bachelor’s degree in architecture/engineering or construction management
· 9 + years of experience within Store Planning/design/construction environment
· Experience in high end luxury retail projects, with international experience highly regarded
· Strong knowledge of Construction Standards, Codes & Processes
· Experience in reviewing and negotiating contracts both design and build
· Experience working with international vendors and consultants
· Strong communication and managerial skills
· Proficient with MS Office, AutoCad, project management software such MS Project
· The ability to work remotely, be flexible for international travel
