About the role
We have an interesting role available in our Water and Sewer Operations team, based at the Kianga Sewage Treatment Plant. The Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) Assistant Operator will support the senior operator within their team and aid in the maintenance of sewage treatment facilities, ensuring protection of local public and environmental health. Your main duties will include:
- Conducting sewage treatment plant operations in line with established operating procedures.
- Carrying out asset maintenance and renewals.
- Collecting and recording of relevant data, including plant performance and quality control.
- Complying with on-call roster scheduling and action of tasks, as required.
Salary information
Total remuneration for the role is in the range of $2,698.14 to $2,942.82 gross per fortnight comprising:
- $2,394.20 to $2,614.63 base salary
- $36.56 Adverse Working Conditions allowance
- $267.38 to $291.63 superannuation (calculated at 11%)
When required by Council, participation in an on call roster is part of this position. An allowance is paid when on call.
