Role Description
Provide expert project management to support to deliver actions for the Approvals System Reform roadmap specifically in:
- Building, leading and managing a small team of staff to provide clear direction and guidance for delivery of projects and milestones.
- Working in collaboration across the business, other agencies, and outside government to enhance strategic and collaborative approaches to environmental and water management.
- Consulting with external parties such as industry experts to find collaboration solutions to complex problems.
- Encourage an environment that enables members to flourish, embrace diversity, flexibility and varied skillset.
- Ensure resources are used efficiently and effective across the Program.
Selection Criteria
- Expert in Project Management including planning, risks and issue management, and delivering recommendations.
- Expert communicator with the ability to translate complex environmental terminology to plain English for senior stakeholders.
- Expert in reform in large complex organisations including the ability to operationalise change.
- Complying with, promoting, and clarifying public sector legislative requirements and departmental policies, procedures, including exercising given delegations.
Desirable:
- Understanding and familiarisation of environmental approvals processes and/or regulations.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the specific environmental challenges and requirements of different sectors such as manufacturing, energy, transportation, and construction.
Additional Requirements
- Provide details of educational courses/professional qualifications (e.g. PRINCE2)
- Previous experience in relevant industry.
- Provide information on membership with relevant industry association.
