Strategic Project Manager

Our state government client is seeking a Strategic Project Manager to join their team.

Your new company 

Our state government client based in Perth’s Northern Suburbs is seeking an experienced Strategic Project Manager to join their team for a temporary contract for 6 months with the opportunity to extend for another 6 months. This would require someone to be available on a full-time basis for 37.5 hours of the week. 

Your new role 

As a Strategic Project Manager, your responsibilities would include: 

• Leading a small team of staff on the delivery of projects

• Collaborating with various stakeholders from other agencies, internal and outside government to build on strategic approaches

• Working with industry experts to build solutions to complex problems

• Project delivery including risk management, planning, and scheduling

• Liaise on effective policy and project development with both internal and external stakeholders

• Preparation of project documentation

What you'll need to succeed 

Your previous experience in a similar role will be essential, as will:

• Project management qualifications or extensive experience in managing projects

• Experience in policy development and introducing new processes

• Extensive stakeholder liaison skills

• Experience in audit or compliance would be desirable

• Ability to translate complex information into plain English

• Experience working on reform and operationalising change for a large organisation
