Your New Opportunity:
ResourceCo is a global leader in the recovery and re-manufacturing of primary resources, extracting maximum value for materials otherwise destined for landfill.
Due to considerable growth across the business, a new role has been created in the Strategy team for a highly capable Strategy Analyst to support the group with strategic planning, operational improvement, M&A and other strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Provide operational KPI analysis and modelling to identify operational improvement initiatives, cost opportunities and revenue opportunities
- Support both tactical and strategic pricing work (including long term contract pricing negotiations)
- Support analysis and decision making for key strategic growth initiatives, including greenfield plant developments and M&A
- Assist in the coordination of M&A transactions, including financial modelling, valuation, due diligence and business cases development
- Perform competitive analysis, identifying market trends, threats, and opportunities
- Support the annual strategic planning process and budget setting
- Assist the executive team and other key team members with problem-solving and the decision-making process, including undertaking relevant strategic or financial analysis
Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of experience in strategy consulting / big 4 consultant or M&A transaction / investment banking / experience or relevant in-house strategy or corporate development team
- Self-starter who is able to set work plans and work independently.
- Strong communicator who is able to present complex ideas and analysis in a logical and clear manner
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills including strong financial and commercial acumen
- Well-developed financial modelling skills, capable of building and auditing large / complex models
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a high-performance environment
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and a willingness to get involved in any task
- Advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Word
