About the role
We are recruiting a Strategy Managerto support development and execution of key strategic programs across Laing O’Rourke’s strategy and transformation agenda in its Australian hub. Key responsibilities
Reporting to the Head of Strategy, Transformation and Innovation, you will be responsible for:
- Business Strategies: Develop business/market strategies to support long-term business growth and success. Assess new market opportunities including options/pathways to pursue. Identify and define growth and operational improvement opportunities across Laing O’Rourke’s Australia business.
- Strategy Delivery and Transformation: Develop required implementation materials and plans to ensure successful implementation of strategic recommendations. Manage program delivery of strategic programs via cross functional teams. Support and work with other departments to implement developed strategies.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work with people in other parts of the business to review and develop strategies. Work collaboratively with cross functional teams to engage and influence outcomes in line with strategic priorities. Engage executives to ensure alignment with overall goals and business specifics.
- Market Research and Analysis: Research and analyse market trends and industry competition. Present findings, projections, and recommended strategies.
About you
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of work experience, preferably in a combination of management (tier 1 or big four) and/or engineering consulting and corporate in-house strategy.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field. An MBA is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong analytical capabilities, including the ability to translate complex information into clear strategic insights.
- Excellent interpersonal, relationship and communication skills.
- Strong execution focus with proven hands-on experience. Strong project management skills with demonstrated experience managing multiple projects.
