We have a unique opportunity for a Strategy Manager to join our Commercial Strategy team based in North Sydney.
Who are the Commercial Strategy Team?
The Commercial Strategy Team is an enterprise wide, in-house strategy & consulting team.
The Commercial Strategy Team leads strategic reviews of organisational performance to develop clear recommendations to target the most significant sources of profitable growth for the business and improve our operational competitiveness.
What’s the role?
This role will develop clear strategies and initiatives to improve our commercial execution and growth as well as coach consultants in analysing existing and potential issues affecting our market. The successful candidate will partner with project managers within the team to govern the on-time delivery of projects and engage stakeholders to manage expectations and ensure success.
Key responsibilities include:
- Extract patterns and insights from complex data sets
- Apply analytical thinking and commercial acumen in solving real life business problems
- Coach junior team members (e.g., Consultants)
- Work alongside the PMO, who will support you in the development of the project scope, objectives
- Influence key stakeholders to deliver impactful change through storytelling and narratives
- Structure problems and define plans of action
What are we looking for?
- Financial qualifications in accounting, finance, economics or business (MBA or CPA/CA preferred)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Strategy or Consulting
- A track record of leading successful complex / ‘transformational’ change in a large corporate environment
- Ability to engage collaboratively with all stakeholders, influence key decision makers and manage change across the organisation
- Prior experience in providing strategic direction and leadership to Senior Leaders.
