Shire provided accommodation and a relocation package may be available to eligible candidates for this role. We are seeking a self-motivated individual to join our Town Maintenance team.
Reporting to the Manager Town Maintenance, this position is responsible for ensuring that the streets and stormwater systems in the Shire are free of debris and other contaminants while ensuring safe operations, and minor maintenance of plant and equipment. This role may also assist other Town Maintenance and/or Waste duties, as required. Our ideal candidate will have the ability to work and drive safely in Pilbara conditions and must be able to demonstrate a high level of honesty and integrity due to the autonomous nature of this role.
A HR class licence is essential and whilst previous experience in operating a street sweeper is not essential, experience operating a dual control vehicle on public roads will be an advantage. Regular travel to the other Shire towns of Onslow and Paraburdoo is a requirement of the role, with overnight stays in Onslow required. This is a full-time role at 80 hours/fortnight with regular additional hours.
This position offers a competitive remuneration package and six weeks’ annual leave. All terms and conditions are as per the Shire of Ashburton Enterprise Agreement 2022.
