Position Title: Speech Pathologist

Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech Pathologist to join our dynamic team of educators and support staff. As a Speech Pathologist at MWHPS you will play a vital role in identifying and addressing communication disorders and difficulties in our students, empowering them to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each student's specific needs and goals.
- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, special education staff, and parents to integrate speech and language goals into the classroom curriculum and daily activities.
- Monitor and document students' progress towards their speech and language goals, adjusting therapy plans as needed based on ongoing assessment data and observations.
- Provide consultation, training, and support to teachers and other school staff on strategies for supporting students with communication disorders in the classroom.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and develop comprehensive intervention plans.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessment results, therapy sessions, progress reports, and communication with parents and other professionals.
- Stay informed about current research, best practices, and advancements in the field of speech-language pathology through ongoing professional development activities.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field.
- Current registration or eligibility for registration with the Speech Pathology Association.
- Experience working as a Speech Pathologist in a school or educational setting preferred.
- Strong assessment, therapy, and intervention skills, with a focus on individualized student support.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, teachers, and other professionals.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in the field of speech-language pathology.
