About the Role:

A great CAREER OPPORTUNITY has arisen for a Structural Design Engineer who will be responsible for the design and documentation of a wide range of projects to ensure all relevant design standards are met. You will work within a small team of experienced Structural Drafters and Engineers and liaise directly with clients and key stakeholders to provide high quality and innovative engineering solutions & advice.

Whilst your technical aptitude is pertinent, it is your positive, dedicated and flexible approach that is critical. Your passion for the industry, desire to learn and ability to fit within a team will be the key to your success.

Your Responsibilities:

• Complete comprehensive engineering design and documentation to meet all relevant standard requirements.
• Liaise with Clients, Consultants, Council and Contractors.
• Supervise and oversee work completed by drafting staff as well as some hands-on drafting.
• Prepare applications for Authorities approval and monitor the approval process.
• Feasibility studies, preliminary designs and reports.
• Maintain project files to ensure current and readily referable.

Your Skills and Attributes:

• Successful completion of a relevant Engineering Degree is ESSENTIAL.
• Minimum 3 years (5yrs + Preferred) demonstrated experience in a Structural Engineering role.
• Proven capability with structural engineering design and documentation.
• Demonstrated experience in the use of AutoCAD and the range of Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of Australian drafting and design standards.
• An eye for detail and focus on accuracy and Quality Assurance.
• Willingness to learn & take instruction with the capability to quickly apply new skills.
• Highly motivated, committed, team focused, flexible and reliable. 
• Passion, drive and enthusiasm for the industry, pursuing a career and delivering exceptional service.
• High level personal presentation and communication skills.
