Our client is a well respected mid-tier contractor with a focus on constructing various marine structures such as wharves, jetties, offshore pipelines, and bridges over water. With a strong emphasis on utilising in-house engineering skills, the company offers a range of services including design and construct, early contractor involvement, or construct-only options.
The Role
- Develop construction methods, crane requirements, and detailed construction sequence planning in coordination with engineering and project teams.
- Ensure compliance with Quality, Safety, and Environmental requirements for projects.
- Prepare and review lift plans, including high-risk lift plans, and conduct audits to ensure compliance.
- Develop and coordinate Temporary Works design concepts, ensuring design information is delivered to projects and overseeing onsite verification.
- Oversee barge strength and stability assessments, build relations with external providers, and ensure structural works meet standards.
- Deliver professional engineering designs and documentation services, ensuring compliance with standards and statutory requirements.
- Support a safe working environment, ensure compliance with management systems, and promote risk awareness and mitigation.
- Attend and contribute to tender and project meetings, manage interfaces with construction teams, and actively contribute to team objectives with strong collaborative skills.
You will have tertiary qualifications in civil engineering or similar in addition to;
- 2-3 years' experience working in the civil construction industry
- Familiarity with Australian standards for Structural Design
- Proficiency in engineering software
