Position DescriptionThe successful applicant will be required to produce structural documentation for reinforced concrete, post tensioned concrete, and steel framed structures on medium to large scale projects as well as management of the software systems, document control and quality assurance. Documentation will primarily be provided in REVIT for both concrete and steel structures.
Your Qualifications and Capabilities
Ideally you will have:
- 0-4 years full-time experience in a drafting role, preferably including work within building structures, multi-level construction knowledge and PT experience is advantageous.
- Tertiary qualifications in engineering drafting (preferred but not mandatory)
- Ability to prepare engineering drawings using Auto CAD and/or REVIT Structure
- REVIT experience (preferred). Experience in CAD at recent TAFE course or CAD drafting (advantageous) if no Revit experience.
- Previous drafting experience at least TAFE or on the job training is essential
- A strong background in detailing concrete, reinforcement and steelwork (very advantageous)
- Competent level of knowledge and experience in structural engineering design and documentation, attained in consulting engineering office or recent TAFE experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work individually & as part of a team
