This organisation conduct detailed investigations into required building remediation work, providing diagnostic reports and solutions for urgent and ongoing repairs. In addition, they provided a detailed project scope of work, project-managed sinking fund allocation, and managed contractors based on competitive estimation and project costings.
About the role
As the Structural Engineer with regulated design practitioner class 2 buildings qualifications, you will be required to conduct detailed inspections on strata titles buildings to assess the level and what type of remediation work is required. You will prepare all detailed reports for submission, provide cost and estimations, develop the scope of work and oversee the project management of work being conducted. It is estimated that you will spend around 50% of your time visiting or being on-site.
Duties
- Collaborate with subject matter experts in waterproofing remediation regarding regulated designs.
- Develop engineering designs that complement remediation projects.
- Create specifications and tender documentation.
- Engage with clients, contractors, and industry professionals for consultation.
- Conduct inspections and generate comprehensive reports.
- Oversee project management and administer contracts.
- Maintain a balance between office-based and on-site duties, with a 50/50 split.
- Have relevant civil Structural Engineering qualifications
- Have a minimum of 5 years of industry experience
- Have a Design Practitioner class 2 buildings certification or be prepared to gain relevant qualifications
- Preferably have a waterproofing and remediation background
- Be detailed with documentation preparation, costing and tender preparation
- Be capable of multitasking across several projects at any one time
