The role As a Structural Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the structural integrity and safety of residential projects. Collaborating closely with the design and construction teams, you will provide technical expertise and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
Your responsibilities will include conducting structural analysis, developing efficient structural solutions, preparing accurate engineering documentation, and monitoring construction progress. Key Responsibilities Design | Perform complex structural design analysis to ensure safe construction of relocations.
Present structural concepts effectively to design team Identify critical design elements in advance to ensure effective workflow Provide technical advice that meets formal standards and compliance. Define, record and maintain information from client and other relevant parties to determine design input information Produce technical drawings utilising AutoCad Complete Structural Engineering calculations compliant with applicable codes and standards of practice Prepare and deliver weekly project progress report to Operations Manager Checking | Review drawings to ensure governing codes and standards are met and work is of exceptional quality. All work completed complies with local, state, national building codes and regulations Consistently maintains and improves technical knowledge to ensure QA standards are met
All issues reported to operations manager / senior Structural Engineer within 24 hours of being identified. Tracking and measuring quality on weekly basis Ensures accurate engineer design according to scope of work , compliant with design and health safety standards Drafting | Undertake complex drafting that reviews environmental factors, government regulations, construction costs and risk analysis Information entered into relevant software with 100% accuracy Foster and maintain productive relationships with External Stakeholders Effective engineering advice pertaining to design of individual jobs Effective communication on project issues Effectively manage workload and key stakeholders Deliver Projects within agreed timeframes and budgets Review project budgets Provide input into relevant elements of proposal Meet monthly invoicing targets Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in civil/Structural Engineering. Minimum of 3 years previous experience in a civil or Structural Engineering role.
Strong technical knowledge of Structural Engineering principles, including the ability to analyse complex structural systems and designs. Proficiency in using industry-standard software tools for structural analysis and design. A solid understanding of building codes and regulations and the ability to apply these standards to ensure compliance and safety in all projects.
