Our Client is a major player in Australia’s construction industry. They are known for their delivery of premium hotels and commercial high-rise buildings. Initially based in Cremorne, they are looking for a Site manager/ Structures Foreman who is capable of handling large $100M+ projects and with a proven track record, to support major projects. 

The role:

Your first project (currently at bulk earthworks stage, project eta is end of 2025) is; a 12 story, 2 basement Hassell designed Commercial tower with a 3500sqm footprint. Rising with a sandstone brick podium, topped with a full-floor rooftop terrace, featuring further terraces above level 12, with large modern floor plates. It’s on the doorstep of Richmond Station and the views to the city are outstanding. 

You will not be completing the fit out, building to cold shell structure. You will work very closely with the existing site management team and the country leading Project Manager (he's a great bloke), focusing on the structural elements of the project and the day-to-day running of trades.

The person:

• Tertiary qualified or trade qualified with foreman/ Site manager exp
• At least 8 years Structures exp within commercial construction sector for a recognised tier 1/3 builder
• A working knowledge of the high-rise construction processes
• Project experience over $50M
• Highly knowledgeable in the commercial structural processes
• Ability to manage and sequence trades
• Hold a strong working commitment to safety
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail, exercising initiative and problem solving while working under pressure
• The ability to build rapport with all levels of business, with both internal and external stakeholders
• Strong work ethic and diligent in following policy and procedure requirements
• Knowledge of Victorian construction market and subcontractors
• Construction Safety Induction (White card)

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and ensure all project work is completed safely and to a high standard
• Problem solving on site and maintaining relationships with subcontractors
• Promote safety culture with all trades
• Frequent communication with trades and management
• Client and key project stakeholder management

What will the company bring to the table:

• Monday to Friday with a Saturday only when needed
• Full time position
• $180,000 - $250,000 pa. 
• Critical role, based in Cremorne
