We have an opportunity for a talented and dedicated Structures Supervisor to be based onsite at our project works in Port Kembla.
The Site Supervisor is vital to ensuring the successful execution and completion of the project. With responsibility for overseeing the day-to-day operations on site and managing the various aspects of a Wharf Remediation project.
In addition to working with a high performing team, the successful applicant will receive ongoing project exposure allowing further development of technical and management skills. There will be an opportunity for a strong performer to progress their career and move into senior project and/or offsite positions.
Permanent, Monday to Friday (may require weekend works) local role.
Vehicle (or allowance) + Fuel card + Mobile + Laptop included in the package.
Works will include:
- Demolition
- Berth extension
- Form, Reo Pour (FRP)
- Impressed Current Cathodic Protection (ICCP)
- Rail repairs and installation
- Concrete Repairs
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all aspects of on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
- Coordinate with project manager, site manager, engineers and subcontractors to ensure smooth execution and timely completion of projects.
- Supervise and lead a team of construction professionals, providing guidance, support, and mentoring as required.
- Monitor construction progress, identify any potential issues or risks, and implement effective solutions to ensure project milestones are achieved.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to maintain effective communication channels and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements, promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
The successful applicant will ideally have:
- Previous experience in a similar role, Minimum of 5 years of experience.
- Structures experience
- Cathodic Protection experience (ICCP)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and mitigate potential project risks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with the project team and stakeholders.
