Saint Mary's Catholic College is a Prep to Year 12 College offering families a co-educational pathway to life-long learning. About the role We are seeking a welcoming, professional and forward-thinking Student Services Receptionist to join our school administration team. You will work collaboratively as part of a team in our busy office, serving the needs of students and families at Saint Mary's Catholic College.
Typical duties include:
  • Answering phone calls
  • Handling enquiries and reception counter
  • Student, parent and staff liaison
  • Correspondence
  • Student absentee recording
  • Data entry
  • Sick bay and First-Aid duties
  • General administration tasks as required
  • Knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety desirable but not essential.
You must possess good clerical skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office. A high level of communication and interpersonal skills are required. You should hold or be prepared to obtain a First Aid Certificate.

To be eligible to be considered for this role you will:
  • hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement;
  • be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment; and
  • have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education.
Estimated start date: Commencing January 2024
Position tenure: Continuing
Weeks worked: School term weeks only (holidays unpaid)
Total Paid Hours (per week) & days required: 38 hours /week
Salary level, range or hourly rate: School Officer Level 3 - $32.21 / hour + super
Employment conditions: Diocesan Catholic Education Employing Authorities in Queensland Single Interest Agreement
