Trinity College employs Student Wellbeing Youth Workers to support students at risk in their social and emotional wellbeing and enhance engagement with student learning.
A replacement position exists within the Trinity Blakeview School. We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and dedicated person to work as part of the Wellbeing Team to provide support to students at our Blakeview School. You will be well organised and have the ability to use initiative. This position is 5 x 7.5-hour days, term time only and until the end of the 2024 school year, with the desired arrangement of hours being 8:00am – 4:00pm.
Key accountabilities include:
- Supporting students with identified social and/or emotional difficulties
- Supporting and developing Student Wellbeing initiatives
- Developing alternate programmes for students
- Connecting with students in group or as individuals
- Promoting and developing broader community links
- Supporting the Christian Ethos of the College and be aware and participate in the College’s mandatory reporting policies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage professionally and by Trinity College Values
- An understanding of young people
- Empathy, patience and integrity
- Organisational skills
- Attention to detail
- Certificate IV or Diploma Youth Work or Youth Justice
- Bachelor in Social Work or Psychology
- Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention (Child Protection) - Youth Specific stream.
- Work experience in the education/school sector, in particular student support
- Knowledge of College policies, procedures and work systems
- Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Agreeing to the Trinity College Child Safe Policies
- Training in Responding to Risk of Harm, Abuse and Neglect in Education and Care settings (
