Your next opportunityThe Sub-contract Material Controllers are responsible for the creation of subcontract bills of materials, issue of materials to subcontractors and ensuring subcontracted materials are received in line with the production requirements. You will work closely with Procurement to ensure that all subcontract purchase orders reflect clearly the scope of work for either material manufacture or external services.As a Sub-contract Material Controller, you can anticipate some of your day-to-day tasks to include:Schedule the supply of materials/components to enable sub-contractors to meet production requirements;Work with production engineering to ensure sub contract bill of materials reflect the manufacturing process;Understand and manage risks to minimise impact on production schedule;Take follow up actions in relation to material shortages that affect the ability of the sub-contractor to deliver on time;Utilise the Material Requirements Planning system (MRP) and ensure that data is accurate and up to date and resolve any issues as required;Work with the warehouse team to ensure sub-contract materials are packed and dispatched in line with requirements;Work with the inventory team to identify inventory activities optimisation;Process inventory transactions for sub-contract materials;Work with the inventory team to ensure external / sub-contract inventory is accurately accounted for; andSupport the warehouse and inventory teams in optimising material usage and working capital.About your new teamReporting to the Material Planning Lead, the Sub-contract Material Controller will work alongside 4 other Material Planners in a hardworking and supportive team. This team forms part of the greater Inventory Planning team, which includes Material Coordination, SAP Master Data Specialists, Logistics Engineers, Inventory Analysts and the full Warehouse team.
