Who we are looking for

We are currently looking for HR Licenced Owner Operator Subcontractor Drivers to join our team in our Perth warehouse located at Perth Airport.

Being a pivotal contributor to the operations team, you will be held to a high standard of customer service and high compliance standards, not only for our customer’s safety but also for your own. Getting you home safely is our highest priority.

Ensuring that you meet agreed service and quality standards, you will be working in the fast-paced environment of Austrans.

What your days would look like?

Key functions (but not limited to):

• Safely and efficiently operate a Rigid Truck to transport general freight in Metropolitan Perth 
• Comply with all National Heavy Vehicle Regulations and road safety laws.
• Conduct pre-start and post-delivery inspections to ensure the vehicle's safety and report any maintenance issues promptly
• Plan routes effectively to ensure on-time deliveries and efficient fuel consumption
• Load and unload goods securely, ensuring proper handling
• Maintain accurate work diary records
• Communicate effectively with management and provide updates on delivery status
• Utilise exceptional interpersonal skills to collaborate with customers and our operations team actively
• Maintain a clean and organised truck, inside and out
• Foster a positive and professional relationship with clients and other road users

 Do you tick these boxes?

• Valid HR Drivers Licence
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Rigid driver (manual)
• Safe driving record and a demonstrated commitment to road safety
• Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and best practices
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with customers and team members effectively
• Strong physical stamina to handle loading/unloading and driving for extended periods
• A commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
• A current drivers medical or able to obtain prior to commencement
• Must pass a drug and alcohol test prior to commencement
