Who we are 

Australian Gas Infrastructure Group (AGIG) owns, operates and invests in infrastructure which delivers gas to more than two million homes and businesses, and is one of the largest gas infrastructure businesses in Australia. AGIG manages over 40,000km of distribution networks, more than 4,300km of transmission pipelines and 60 petajoules of storage capacity. We employ over 470 people with an additional 1,600 contractors working on our assets.

Our low carbon vision, targets 10% renewable gas in our distribution networks by no later than 2030, with full decarbonisation of our networks by 2040 as a stretch target and by no later than 2050.

About the Opportunity 

The Transmission Operations team is currently seeking a new position; Superintendent Fleet Management.  Who will be responsible for AGIG Fleet Vehicles which includes planning, directing, managing, coordinating, and supervising the program for the acquisition, assignment, utilisation, maintenance, repair, replacement, and disposals  of the Fleet Vehicles.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Apply Procurement Rules relating to procuring and disposal of Fleet and associated services
  • Strategic plans for reducing Fleet’s carbon footprint and environmental impact
  • The review will use the life-cycle approach and will take into consideration purchase price, historical variable costs, repair costs due to age, remaining warranty period, forecast resale values and FBT and shall be used when determining life of assets and replacement schedules
  • Addresses and resolves day-to-day customer requests and issues
  • Create vehicle purchase specifications and purchase vehicles for all AGIG departments
  • Provide detailed reporting including but not limited too maintenance costs, fuel usage & kms
  • All Plant, Equipment & Vehicle costs will form part of the Long-Term Financial Planning Process and the annual allocation of funds
  • Develops and administers vehicle/equipment asset management processes from procurement to disposition
  • Assists and manages an annual business plan 

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a similar field 
  • Proven experience in mechanical /automotive field or with relevant experience
  • Experience in a similar role 
  • Knowledge of asset management systems, preferably MAXIMO/SAP
  • Identify risk and understand risk mitigation
  • Experience in formulation and interpretation of tender and contract details
  • Experience in creating and establishing fleet policies and procedures, managing vehicle assignment from inception to end of life
