As an experienced Superintendent-Construction you will exude your strong passion for working in the mining industry, as well as being able to manage our Major Expansion Project at our Prominent Hill location in South Australia. This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to the success of our mining operations while showcasing your leadership and technical expertise across our Prominent Hill Operations. Location: Prominent Hill , South Australia (60-minute flight from Adelaide / 30-minute flight from Port Augusta) Roster: 8 days on; 6 days off or 14 days on 14 days off Employment Type: Fixed Term Contract - 2 years In this role you will: Align with the Prominent Hill process standard requirements, you will be responsible for the following: • Managing the safe planning and execution of construction activities. • Managing multi-disciplined contractors and suppliers. • Interfacing between multiple work groups. • Acting as a critical leader in the owner's team. • Participating in Planning workshops and Risk Assessments. • Liaising effectively with team members and stakeholders • Planning, scheduling, and coordinating construction project activities to meet milestones. • Ensuring work is completed in accordance with engineering and quality standards. • Preparing and submitting budget estimates, progress reports, or cost tracking reports. • Directing and supervising construction or related workers. About You: Experience: Minimum of 10 to15 years of experience in construction management, preferably in the heavy mining industry. Demonstrated experience in successfully managing and delivering complex construction projects. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes, regulations, and best practices. Proficiency in project management software and tools. Leadership Abilities: Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams, resolve conflicts, and drive results in a fast-paced environment. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders and provide clear project updates. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address construction challenges and make sound decisions. Safety Focus: Demonstrated commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
