Our Opportunity
Location: Eliwana mine.
  • Fortescue's Eliwana mine is located on the traditional lands of the Puutu Kunti Kurrama & Pinikura (PKKP) People.
Roster: 4 days on / 3 days off FIFO from Perth
Reporting to: Manager Mine Services
Role Overview:
As the leader of our Eliwana-based team, you'll oversee critical areas such as site and village maintenance, electrical and fuel distribution, waste management, industrial cleaning, fire system management, water production, and wastewater treatment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Champion a culture of safety, leading by example and ensuring adherence to corporate policies.
  • Manage minor NPI capital projects and play a pivotal role in major capital projects associated with new infrastructure and mine operations.
  • Effectively manage contractors, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Take charge of budget management, including forecasting, tracking, and cost approvals.
  • Foster strong relationships with operations and other stakeholders to achieve Fortescue's objectives.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all Infrastructure Services escalations and internal/external problem management.
  • Lead the recruitment process for new NPI employees.
  • Provide coaching and development opportunities for the mine services leadership team to facilitate future succession planning.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Certificate III Trade Certificate and/or Degree Qualification
  • Proven experience leading large teams in a mining environment
  • Familiarity with SAP maintenance planning systems and work management processes
  • Demonstrated safety leadership and a commitment to achieving stretch targets
  • Strong understanding of risk and contractor management, as well as change management processes
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
