About the role:
The Load & Haul team is on the lookout for a proactive and experienced Load & Haul Superintendent to spearhead our efforts in achieving operational excellence.
Reporting to the Manager Load & Haul, this pivotal role offers the unique opportunity to lead a dedicated team of supervisors, driving the successful execution of load and haul schedules to meet and exceed our production targets.
Duties:
- Empower, guide, and mentor your team, fostering an environment of growth in operational works, principles, and techniques
- Take charge of immediate operational decisions and influence long-term mine production strategies with your expertise
- Champion our core values of Lead, Care, Think, Perform, setting a standard for safety leadership and commitment across all levels of staff
- Drive performance and cost-efficiency within your team by encouraging creativity, initiative, and innovative solutions
- Ensure seamless communication and collaboration between mining teams, geology, mine planning, and demand chain planning teams to maximize performance and leverage full design capabilities
Skills and Experience:
- Solid background in mining operations, with a track record of successfully managing large operator crews
- Ability to prioritise and manage heavy workloads sets the direction for your team, ensuring operational success
- Effective communicator at all levels, capable of engaging with all business levels to drive collective goals
- High level commitment to safety
