We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Superintendent Metallurgist, for a full-time Solomon based opportunity. This role will report to the Manager Process Engineering - Technical Services.
Key Responsibilities
- Support development of an emerging team and strong culture, whilst providing guidance to a variety of stakeholders
- Be flexible to adapt to changing priorities, have a passion to think outside the box and be able to prioritise
- Review pilot plant design & align the team to support the project requirements
- Ensure safe operation & oversight of the pilot facility
- Planning, coordination & metallurgical evaluation of feed and resulting product specifications
- At least 12 years' experience in a Metallurgy role (ideally of which at least 3 years should be Iron ore and a mix of site operational experience & management)
- Knowledge or experience with Mine Geology & Geometallurgy teams highly regarded.
- Tertiary Qualification in Metallurgy/ Mineral processing or similar
- Knowledge of the behavior of ore during comminution and associated mineral extraction technologies such as magnetic separation, classification or dense media separation
- Excellent communication both verbal and written with strong analytics skills
- Effectively communicate with a wide range of stakeholders with varying technical knowledge
- Computer proficiency (Excel, MS Office)
- Knowledge of data science, machine learning, mine planning systems, Tableau, R, Python highly regarded
- Team orientation and strong ability to take initiatives towards continuous improvement
- Current WA C-Class driving license.
