We currently have a rare opportunity for a Metallurgy Superintendent to join the Processing team at Tropicana Gold Mine.Commencing operation in 2013, Tropicana is a premier Gold Mine that has matured with a 9.5 mtpa processing plant, fed from multiple open-pit and underground ore sources. Continued capital investment includes near-mine and regional exploration, and the construction of solar, wind & battery renewable energy system. With +400k oz production forecast for 2024 and beyond, this is an excellent chance to join a secure, low-cost, large-scale gold operation.Reporting to the Processing Manager, the Metallurgy Superintendent is responsible for leading and providing mentoring and technical leadership to a dynamic and diverse team within an autonomous working environment.This permanent role is based on an 8:5/4:4 roster with flights directly to site from Perth or Kalgoorlie.Accountabilities:Safety leadership and risk managementProduction forecasting and planning inputsLead the metallurgical team; with defined accountabilities and setting critical tasksTeam development and upskilling by training, coaching and mentoringReview operational performance and optimize production Metallurgical accounting and reporting Identifying and developing systems for the Metallurgy team and integrating processes to assist with effective planning of work, safe work practices, plant performance and promote continuous improvementCoordinate cyanide code compliance for site Maintaining cross functional relationships with departments across the organizationAct as alternative Processing Manager as requiredOpportunity to act as Senior Site Executive Culture and BenefitsOur workplace demonstrates dignity and respect for each other, we offer challenging work, highly competitive remuneration that is regularly adjusted to market conditions and career development opportunities.
