About the Role
The primary responsibility of this role is to coordinate the team of technology specialists to ensure the performance, monitoring and support of WHC Operational Technology.
The Superintendent – Operational Technology Support will also be responsible for facilitating collaboration and alignment of strategy and execution across 24/7, wireless network, digital radio, virtualisation and hosting support. This is a Brisbane CBD based role and occasional site visits and travel to regional QLD will be required, as part of managing key relationships and projects.
What You’ll Do
- Lead team to balance internal & external demands to maximise availability of operational technologies
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities and act upon them where required
- Manage and support Operational Technology solutions, assets, and processes
- Provide assistance to optimise or implement improvements to deliver reliability, performance, and efficiency
- Primary contact for escalation of issues in Operational Technology Support and change management
- Monitor, manage and report performance of all OT systems
- Actively contribute to, assist and share knowledge and information with your team aimed at managing change, improving safety, work processes, cost and teamwork
- Contribute to the development of a positive and collaborative organisational culture
What You’ll Bring
- Technology degree or relevant mining industry experience
- 5 + years working with Operational Technology (OT) or remote operations in a mining or processing environment
- Experience in systems, networks or software engineering
- Experience in customer and vendor management experience
- Experience in managing and motivating technical teams
- Experience in working with multiple stakeholders to achieve required outcomes
- Experience in developing and implementing strategies to foster the right culture within a team with measurable outcomes
- Previous exposure to Fleet Management, Communications or PLC systems is desirable
- Previous exposure to BHP ROC/OT Systems desirable
- Demonstrated passion for technology and continuous improvement
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
