Job description

This is a Recruitment Pool for  for  Fixed Term Full Time appointments with the possibility of extension(s).

Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur across Youth Mental Health. Appointments may be made from this pool until 30/09/2024.

We currently have one (1) Fixed Term Full Time position available for up to 12 months to cover a period of Parental Leave.

About this role

This position delivers evidence-based psychiatric services within the Youth Community Assessment and Treatment Team (YCATT); is responsible for the clinical management of mental health patients, their families and carers within a recovery focussed model.

YCATT provides an intensive community outreach service for young people aged 16-24 years, with emerging and/or exacerbation of symptoms of potentially severe or complex mental health disorders.

The service delivers community-based triage, assessment and intensive short-term management for up to 12 weeks for young people in the NMHS Mental Health (NMHS MH) catchment area.

YCATT provides a specialist youth multidisciplinary team offering person-centred, trauma-informed, acute mental health care that promotes strengths and a recovery focus in partnership with families, carers, other youth services and non-government organisations (NGOs).

The role reports to the Head of Service - Consultant Psychiatrist.
