The Child Wellbeing Program (CWP) is a program within Safer Family Services (SFS) and provides direct services to children and young people (5-18 years) and families who are presenting with high level risks and complexities.
The CWP works in collaboration with both government and non-government organisations to improve the safety, emotional health and wellbeing of children, and young people in South Australia. SFS is seeking a Supervisor to join the CWP Metro West on a full-time time basis.
The role is responsible for:
- Providing high quality leadership to a team of Practitioners delivering multi-levelled interventions that include proactive, targeted and intensive strategies to support family functioning and improve children’s and young people’s safety, wellbeing and development.
- Monitoring team workloads, case allocations, performance indicators and deploying resources effectively to deliver high quality service delivery and mitigate risks where identified.
- Building strong relationships with key stakeholders which create collaborative service opportunities available to children and families in crisis or at risk of entering the child protection system.
You will have extensive knowledge and understanding of the complexities and effects of child abuse, neglect and developmental trauma upon the health and wellbeing of children and young people (5 to 18 years).

Must hold a current Australian issued driver’s licence (equivalent to minimum class C).
Covid -19 – will be required to have had two COVID-19 vaccinations prior to engagement with DHS, unless it would be medically unsafe for the employee to do so, or they’re currently employed in the SA public sector and are not required to be vaccinated.
Essential Qualifications:
- An appropriate Social Work qualification from a recognised tertiary institution giving eligibility for full membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers.
- An appropriate degree or equivalent qualification and general registration with the Psychology Board of Australia. Registration must be obtained prior to commencement in position.
Salary Range: $102,641-$110,094 (AHP3)
