At the Shire we value Honesty, Empathy, Accountability, Respect and Teamwork which underpin the way we work with our elected members, the community and each other.Job DescriptionAs our Supervisor Facilities Maintenance you will coordinate and oversee the efficient and proactive maintenance of the Shire's facilities to ensure they are fit for purpose. You will lead a small team of Facilities Maintenance Officers and Cleaners as well as managing a large contingent of contractors undertaking works in minor construction and maintenance across a variety of facilities. You will contribute to the development, monitoring, and review of maintenance schedules for Shire facilities, undertake inspections, investigations, and research to identify and resolve problems, and maintain effective records to support future planning. You will also coordinate and respond to after-hours call outs for facilities to ensure community safety.Your steady, solution-focused approach will see you develop strong relationships will contractors and stakeholders to ensure a reliable and responsive maintenance service. - Previous supervisory experience
- Experience and/or knowledge in construction and maintenance of buildings
- Experience in contractor management
- Demonstrated computer skills
- Knowledge and experience in the application of Work Health and Safety requirements
- C class driver's licence
- Construction Safety Awareness card
