The Department for Child Protection is seeking a Supervisor to join the Placement Services team on a full-time term basis.
- Providing leadership, development and performance of a designated work team, management of professional social worker practice and standards, developing services that are relevant, appropriate and accessible to the State’s carer population.
- Contributing on strategic leadership, business planning and review policies associated to work practices.
- Identifying opportunities to develop and ensure consultation and client participation in a holistic manner where possible.
- Developing and facilitating strategies to build positive working relationships and maintain a cohesive team to support client care, carers and all key stakeholders.
About You
We are looking for a motivated leader who will actively promote professional social work practice in their team and will develop and lead staff to achieve quality results.
To be successful in this role, you will have experience in a social work or case management capacity working directly with children and families, where you dealt with issues of welfare, protection, safety and family support.
You will have strong written and verbal communication skills and a demonstrated knowledge of assessment and training frameworks and methodologies.
You will also be able to develop and maintain productive working relationships with all levels of Government, non-government agencies, and community.
