Orana has played a vital role in supporting South Australian's living with disability for over 70 years. We deliver employment, housing, training, short term accommodation, skill development programs and life skills support to over 650 South Australian’s living with disability.
About The Position:
Under the Manager's direction, assist with the general running of the service; implement vocational activities and training programs which are tailored to the needs and abilities of employees, and provide supervision, instruction, and training as required.
About You:
Our ideal candidate will enjoy helping others and be an inspiring leader who can provide a high level or care and assist our supported employees to meet their individual goals. You will have experience working a production environment, great computer skills and able to hit the ground running.
Position Responsibilities:
- Conduct and supervise vocational activities and programs for our employees.
- Undertake record keeping and administration tasks in relation to business operations.
- Train employees in the acquisition of appropriate job skills, including the proper and safe use of tools, machinery, and equipment.
- Assist with the development of Vocational Plans and review employee performance.
- Undertake task analysis and assess the abilities and skills of employees to perform tasks.
- Assist the Manager in the development of production/work methods and product lines.
- Liaise with the employees’ families and people in the community.
- Manage job scheduling and delivery of products.
- Undertake equipment maintenance and calibration as needed.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
Essential:
- A high level of problem solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel spreadsheets and Outlook.
- Hold a current unrestricted driver’s licence.
- Hold a NDIS Worker Check or willing to obtain.
- Hold a current National Police Clearance.
- Hold a current First Aid & CPR certificate.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience in a similar role.
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of working in a production environment.
- Experience working with people with disability.
