About the Position:
At the City of Bayswater we are passionate about our trees and streetscapes, and have made a commitment to preserving and growing our tree canopy to benefit our community and future generations, as well as creating and maintaining a ‘Garden City’ for all to enjoy. For this important work we are looking for a passionate Horticulturist or Arborist to join the City as a Supervisor Tree Services to provide professional advice on holistic tree management, maintaining and enhancing an extensive urban forest, and rejuvenating the City’s streetscapes.
About the Person:
We are looking for someone that has the necessary qualifications and experience in Horticulture or Arboriculture to ensure the planting, restoration and preservation of the City’s tree assets. Overseeing a small team, the successful applicant will have excellent supervisory skills, contractor management skills, an understanding and application of contemporary tree planting, watering, and maintenance practices, along with administrative acumen. They will have the ability to positively engage with customers in the community, the City and build relationships with industry professional and suppliers.
