Pancho Villa
Pancho Villa Restaurant & Tequila Bar is a modern Mexican kitchen and tequila bar in the heart of North Hobart's food district. The Restaurant Manager for Pancho Villa will be responsible for managing all aspects of the restaurant/bar operation, ensuring the highest standards of service, profitability, and customer satisfaction. They oversee staff, manage inventory, maintain quality standards, and promote the venue to attract and retain customers.
The position of manager will be further responsible for:
- Overseeing the day-to-day operations and reporting directly to the senior management team
- Managing staff including recruiting, training, supervising and roster management
- Providing excellent customer service by maintaining a high standard of customer service by interacting with patrons, addressing complaints or concerns promptly, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
- Monitoring customer satisfaction levels and implement strategies to enhance the overall guest experience.
- Organising and overseeing special events, promotions, and entertainment to attract customers and increase revenue.
- Monitoring sales trends, analyse financial reports, and identify areas for improvement.
- Implementing cost-control measures to maximize profitability while maintaining quality standards.
- Managing cash handling procedures, including deposits, withdrawals, and reconciliations
- Developing and implement marketing strategies to promote the bar/pub and attract new customers.
- Utilising social media, advertising, and promotional events to increase visibility and drive sales.
- Building relationships with local businesses, organizations, and community groups to generate referrals and partnerships.
- Monitoring industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation.
What are we looking for in you?
- Previous experience in bar or hospitality management, with a strong understanding of bar operations, customer service, and staff supervision.
- 3+ year’s experience in management role and 3+ years cocktail experience.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of beverage trends, cocktail recipes, and industry best practices.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Previous experience in bar or hospitality management, with a strong understanding of bar ope rations, customer service, and staff supervision.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of beverage trends, cocktail recipes, and industry best practices.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Familiarity with POS systems, inventory management software, and other relevant technology.
- Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., TIPS, ServSafe) will be required.
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field is preferred, depending on experience.
