About this position
The City of Gosnells is dedicated to providing attractive, safe and well-maintained parks, public places and natural areas for recreation, enhancing urban life while conserving the natural environment.
We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to supervise our Urban Forest program, aimed at maximising the environmental and aesthetic value of the City’s tree assets.
As Supervisor, you will provide arboricultural expertise and strong leadership, manage contractors, and ensure high-quality outcomes that enhance the City’s landscape.
This position is based at the City’s Operation Centre in Maddington.
What we are looking for
To be successful you must be able to demonstrate:
- Sound leadership qualities with ability to manage staff and contractors
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven financial management skills
- Strong ability to manage maintenance programs from formulation to implementation
- Experience in the arboriculture field with the ability to apply technical knowledge operationally
Essential requirements
- Diploma in Arboriculture or equivalent
- White Card
- Current Driver’s Licence
- Current National Police Clearance (less than three months old). Please note: This is not essential to apply for the role but will be required at a later stage as it is an appointment condition.
