About the Position
As part of the Waste Operations team the position provides effective operational leadership, supervision and support to the Waste Operators and leads in the continuous improvement of customer service within the service unit. The Supervisor Waste Operations also identifies and prioritises customer service requirements and supervises the administration activities of the team.
The position will be expected to lead:
City Services - team responsible for the collection of general waste from City facilities (i.e. parks, bus stops, buildings, etc.) and responding to litter and illegal dumping incidents.
About You
To be successful, you will need:
- Qualification in relevant discipline such as waste management or relevant experience in a similar role within waste services
- Demonstrated skills to supervise staff in customer service and administration
- Well-developed level of written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to liaise and negotiate and a commitment to quality service
- Demonstrated experience in managing time, setting priorities, achieving goals and meeting deadlines
- Excellent levels of self-motivation, initiative, problem solving and analytical skills
- Experience with the practical application of Work Health Safety and safety measures in the workplace, including risk identification, assessment, and control implementation.
- HR class Drivers Licence.
