Supervisor Required for a short-term contract with possible extension - Immediate Start - Cairns - $56.62ph Your new company Our client provides essential building and construction services across Far North Queensland. They are currently seeking an experienced and skilled Supervisor to join their busy trades team on a short-term contract with a possible extension. Your new role
You will be joining the existing construction team to assist with delivering maintenance & large-scale projects to various government assets around Cairns and remote regions. You will be responsible for on-site visits, inspections, following directions from the foreperson and leading a medium-sized team to ensure company goals and objectives are achieved. Working up to 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Travel (by vehicle/light plane) may be an integral part of this role with overnight stays of up to 5 nights as negotiated.
What you'll need to succeed
You have strong skills and experience working as a qualified trade with demonstrated background and knowledge in the building & construction industry. You have good knowledge of Australian standards and are dedicated to WH&S.
Trade Qualification
Construction White Card
Current Driver's Licence
Able to read drawings and plans
Have a keen eye for detail and high standard of workmanship
Must have good knowledge of Building Code and relevant Australian Standards
Sound computer skills
Planning and organising work schedules and labour requirements
Demonstrated supervisory skills
