Job Description
The Supervisor Zoology provides day-to-day supervision and coordination of the Senior Technical Officers and Technical Officers of Zoology in the Life Sciences Directorate to meet the section's objectives. The role also requires the leader to ensure the safety and well-being of the team. This position helps the managers in implementing Perth Zoo policies and procedures to ensure the maximum welfare of the zoo animals.
Selection Criteria
Applicants should address the following five (5) criteria. These should be address in no more than four (4) pages in total.
Certificate Ill in Zoo Keeping, Captive Animal Management, or an industry equivalent notification.
Extensive experience in animal husbandry and working in a zoo or similar environment.
Demonstrated experience in the effective management and leadership of teams, empowering staff to achieve agreed outcomes.
Demonstrated successful experience in project coordination, management projects and project teams.
- Demonstrate understanding of workplace health, safety, and well-being, equal Employment Opportunities, and diversity management principles and practices (Essential)
Note: The successful applicant will be required to possess or obtain a current (issue date not older than 6 months) and satisfactory National Police Check prior to commencement.
