About this exciting opportunity
The Supply and Procurement Manager will lead a small team responsible for sourcing and Procurement of goods and services for the Institute and is responsible for the development, implementation, continuous improvement and execution of AIMS’ purchasing strategy, policies and procedures, in compliance with Commonwealth Procurement Rules and reporting obligations.
The position will identify and drive best practice in procurement, ensure appropriate governance, staffing and structure within the procurement team, and implement supply chain processes and systems that are ethical, efficient and consistent with AIMS’ broader enterprise systems including critical links into financial accounting, and assets management.
About you
This role would suit someone with experiencing in providing quality technical advice on Procurement and contract strategies particularly inline with Commonwealth Procurement rules.
Our ideal applicant will have the relevant qualifications or demonstrated experience working in Government procurement and or Contract and Supply Management, be experienced at leading a team and have the ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally.
You will have demonstrated experience overseeing Supply and logistics functions, operating relevant Supply Chain software Systems, highly developed problem-solving skills and the ability to investigate issues, identify opportunities, develop and implement change initiatives.

- AIMS AOF Level 6 salary ($130,855 to $147,453 per annum) plus 15.4% superannuation
