About the role
This role will enable you to develop and champion the strategic direction of the Procurement Branch to ensure value for money for our fast growing city.
You will play a pivotal role in managing operational, resourcing, governance, and contract management functions to ensure service delivery across multiple categories.
As Manager, Procurement you will have the opportunity to:
- Develop and deliver a contemporary procurement strategy
- Implement Strategic Contracting principles
- Manage and oversee performance and deliverables in the key areas of Information Communication and Technology (ICT), Goods and Services, Building Construction and Maintenance, and Procurement Operations
- Provide leadership and direction striving towards continuous improvement
About you
Your experience and skills will include:
- Extensive experience in achieving strategic objectives through effective planning and allocation of resources
- Demonstrated experience working within a complex organisation with a detailed understanding of procurement and contract management operations
- Collaboration with stakeholders to achieve business outcomes while delivering commercial benefits
- Preferably have a relevant tertiary qualification
